Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC—the ad emphasizes cross-functional program decisions over standalone model ownership.

Senior P&C pricing role on State Farm’s Sharing Economy team in Atlanta, Georgia, focused on commercial auto insurance. You’ll analyze platform data, support loss and trend analysis, build actuarial tools, and develop pricing recommendations with Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Loss Reserves. The role is hybrid, with at least two office days weekly currently and three planned from 2027.

Requirements

Must have

  • Eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately; no visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • At least 2 years of experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or another analytical field
  • Experience with data and statistical analysis in Excel, SQL, R, and/or Python
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Successful completion of at least three SOA or CAS exams
  • Commitment to earn and/or maintain the Continuing Education requirements for the ACAS/FCAS designation
