Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

Associate-level P&C actuarial analyst role on the Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) pricing team in New York. You'll perform technical case pricing for structured insurance transactions, develop loss and portfolio models, and support underwriters on bespoke deals. Hybrid role reporting to the ART NA Head of Pricing.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Price structured ART (Alternative Risk Transfer) transactions and support in-force portfolio analysis
Develop loss models, portfolio models, and methodological pricing concepts
Work in deal teams and present model results to underwriters and stakeholders
Hybrid role based in New York; reports to the ART NA Head of Pricing
Use tools such as Excel/VBA, R, Matlab and SQL for pricing and model development

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

structured insurance pricing/ART transactions
loss modelling for insurance portfolios
P&C quantitative risk modelling

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Progress toward an actuarial designation (actuarial student)
Experience with pricing and loss modelling across multiple lines
Strong skills in Excel/VBA plus one of R, Matlab, SQL or Java
Ability to communicate technical results to non-technical stakeholders
Based in New York (role location) and able to work hybrid
