Role Summary

Role type

Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting-facing pricing role than a pure modelling seat, because case pricing and rate discussions are tied to underwriting decisions.

Entry-level P&C pricing role with a multi-line reinsurance focus in Miami, supporting pricing actuaries on model development, calibration, case pricing, rate monitoring, and occasional reserving work. You will prepare data, explain claim movements, validate pricing outputs, and contribute to underwriting decisions using Excel, VBA, SQL, and potentially R or Python.

Requirements

Must have

At least 2 CAS exams passed and making good progress towards ACAS/FCAS
2-3 years of relevant work experience
Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

University degree in math, computer science, physics or similar
Strong IT skills particularly MS Excel, VBA and SQL experience desirable
Strong quantitative analytical skills
Well organized, ability to use initiative and self-manage
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments

Nice to have

Experience with reinsurance pricing preferred
Experience working with ISO/Verisk data products preferred
Knowledge of data visualization tools (MS Power BI or QlikView)
Knowledge of programming (R or Python) desirable
