Role type

Client-facing health actuarial consultant

Closer to consulting client-facing than a pricing or underwriting partner because the remit spans employer advisory engagements, renewals, reports, and proposal support.

Senior Health actuarial consulting role based in Phoenix or another US office, with a hybrid requirement of at least three days per week in-office. You will lead employer health benefits engagements covering financial projections, plan design, underwriting support, renewals, and client strategy while guiding junior staff and supporting business development.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years of actuarial experience with health and benefits consulting

Strongly preferred

  • Proven progress toward ASA designation
  • Client-facing experience
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to have

  • Experience in health benefits actuarial consulting
  • ASA credential
