JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Calculate US Statutory, Tax, and US GAAP reserves for life and annuity products
- Perform sensitivity and assumption impact analyses and annual testing
- Maintain and improve controls including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Work with Pricing, IT, Modeling, and Data to onboard deals to valuation platforms
- Based in Brighton, MA with 4 days/week in office
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Life or Annuity US Statutory and GAAP valuation
- Maintaining and enhancing SOX controls
- Business analytics and Excel tool development
- Data management with SAS, SQL, or Python
- Impact assessments for assumption and model changes
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 3 years actuarial analyst experience
- Completed 5 SOA/CAS exams toward ASA (exam-writing student)
- Product knowledge of Life or Annuity US Stat and GAAP valuation
- Proficiency with data tools such as SAS, SQL, or Python and Excel
