Pricing partner to provider contracting

Closer to a live contracting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the analysis directly supports provider negotiations and Network Management decisions.

Senior Health actuarial analyst role in Long Beach, California, supporting Medicare Advantage provider contracting and bid work. You’ll perform financial and claims modeling, DOFR valuations, trend and risk analysis, and data extraction using advanced SQL and Excel. The role is mostly remote and partners with Network Management and Contracting teams.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or quantitative field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Teams)
  • Advanced SQL skills

Strongly preferred

  • 3+ years of healthcare actuarial, healthcare economic, or healthcare finance experience (or comparable consulting)
  • Experience with provider contract modeling and Medicare FFS structure
  • Advanced analytical skills using statistical and mathematical models
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Certifications deemed reasonable for the level
