Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a modelling-heavy IC role than a reserving cycle role—the deciding factor is live underwriting partnership rather than quarterly reporting.

Senior P&C pricing role in Zurich North America's General Liability Pricing team, based in Schaumburg, Illinois or another US office on a hybrid schedule. You will support rate development, pricing tools, predictive-model monitoring, governance, and collaboration with product management and market-facing underwriting.

Requirements

Must have

Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree (any field) or Associates with Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice
3 or more actuarial exams (FCAS track)
3 or more years of actuarial experience
ACAS designation (for Associate Actuary level)
5 or more years of actuarial experience (for Associate Actuary level)
Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management)
Proficiency in pricing studies (rate indications, trend studies, parameter analysis)
Proficiency with Pricing Tools (development, deployment, monitoring)
Familiarity with Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics and data transformation
Familiarity with predictive modeling techniques (decision trees, clustering, GLMs)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience collaborating on cross-functional team projects
