Senior P&C reserving role (Casualty) focused on developing and supporting a reserving framework. You will lead reserving projects, produce reserve indications and advanced analytics, and present results to senior leadership. Role is Detroit-hybrid preferred with remote option and requires strong programming skills (SQL/R/Python).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead development and maintenance of reserving framework and reserve indications
- Perform advanced analytics and produce reserve ranges for casualty lines
- Present findings to Management and Senior Leadership
- Programming required — SQL, R (Python preferred)
- Detroit-hybrid preferred; remote option possible
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- casualty reserving and advanced analytics
- reserve indications and producing reserve ranges
- exposure to advanced ratemaking and/or reserving
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years actuarial or data science experience
- 5+ Casualty Actuarial Society exams (exam-focused candidate)
- ACAS or near-ACAS preferred
- Programming skills in SQL and R (Python preferred)
- Authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis (no sponsorship)
