Closer to an underwriting-partner role than a modelling-heavy IC one because pricing recommendations connect directly to Product, Underwriting, and rating changes.

Senior P&C pricing role in Westfield Center, Ohio, supporting Standard Lines Pricing. You’ll conduct complex pricing analysis, lead actuarial projects, improve rating processes, support state filings, and collaborate with Underwriting, IT, and Product teams. The role is aimed at an experienced CAS student with at least four years of actuarial experience.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

5+ years of insurance and/or business experience
4+ years of actuarial experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field (or commensurate work experience)
Passed CAS 'Basic techniques for rate making and estimating claims liability' exam
Completed all CAS preliminary requirements (exams, VEEs, online courses) prior to Basic Techniques exam
Knowledge of programming languages
Proficiency in statistical modeling software
Pricing modeling experience
Statistical analysis skills
Predictive analytics experience
Data analysis and reporting skills
Actuarial analytics proficiency
Insurance industry knowledge
