Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a modelling-heavy individual contributor because underwriting and marketing collaboration is central to the role.

Senior P&C pricing role in Federated Insurance’s Property & Casualty operations, based in Mankato, Minnesota. You’ll enhance actuarial methods and develop individual-risk pricing recommendations for complex commercial accounts, partnering with underwriting and marketing. The role requires three years of actuarial experience and five completed exams.

Requirements

Must have

  • Three years of actuarial experience
  • Successful completion of five actuarial exams
  • Legal authorization to work for any US employer

Strongly preferred

  • Four-year degree, preferably in Math or related subject
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Commercial lines pricing experience
  • Large account, loss-sensitive, or alternative risk pricing experience
  • Experience with Power Pivot, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, R, Python, or other data analytical tools
