DUTIES:

Member of Deferred Annuity Statutory, Tax and Capital Valuation, which is responsible for reporting and analyzing the risks of the Annuities business. Focus on Variable Annuities capital requirements and statutory reserves. Clearly interpret results, perform attribution and sensitivity analysis, and contribute to high visibility projects. Perform problem solving and create solutions for ad-hoc requests. Perform reporting and analysis of the Statutory reserves and capital under Actuarial Guideline XLIII for variable annuities, using the stochastic cash flow model, and clearly defined hedging strategy. Model and analyze pro-forma impact of Statutory Reform based on Valuation Manual 21, by implementing changes to the Excel VBA based calculation model, and attribute layers of change to demonstrate impacts. Perform User Acceptance Testing on the GGY Axis Testware implementing changes of Statutory Reform on Actuarial Guideline XLIII, which involves statistical sampling and regression testing. Streamline reporting processes by converting the underlying tool from MS Access, which require various manual steps, to python, and runtime and improve process efficiency.

REQTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered, as an Actuary, or related occupation. Must have at least three (3) years of experience with: VBA; MS Access/SQL; Proficiency in GGY Axis; Life insurance and annuities product; Performing actuarial reserve valuation and financial/capital reporting (under US GAAP and/or Statutory); Forecasting and projection of reserves and cashflows under various reporting law (US GAAP and Statutory); Performing attribution and sensitivity analysis on liability reserves by running GGY Axis, to understand the main driver of reserve movement; Stochastic model; Reinsurance transaction in run-off insurance portfolios; Hedging strategy for long-term insurance portfolios; Capital markets and investment products; Risk and capital modelling and Asset Liability Management (ALM); Preparing rating agency's (S&P, Fitch, Moody's and AM Best) survey with good understanding of factor-based capital; Performing various statistical analysis on large amounts of data, understanding underlying trends, and explaining to outside audiences; and extracting, manipulating, and summarizing data using programming language/statistical tools, such as python, and R. Must have passed at least three (3) actuarial exams for the Society of Actuaries credential.

Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)
