HIGHLIGHTS

Senior health actuarial role on the UHG Trend Analytics - Forecasting & Insights team in Eden Prairie, MN. You will design and maintain trend forecast models for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid financial projections, analyze large claims datasets, and deliver partner-ready analytics using R, Python, SQL, SAS and Excel. The role mentors junior staff and supports cross-business analytics and strategic planning.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Design and maintain trend forecast models for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
Analyze large heterogeneous claims and non-claim datasets to support financial forecasts
Build scalable models and deliver partner-ready presentations using R, Python, SQL, SAS, Excel
Mentor junior team members and lead internal training sessions
On-site role based in Eden Prairie, MN (relocation preferred)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Actuarial experience in healthcare or finance
Working with large heterogeneous claims and non-claim datasets
Designing and maintaining Excel-based actuarial models
Data extraction and analysis using R, Python, SQL, SAS, or VBA

KEY REQUIREMENTS

4+ years as an actuary in healthcare, finance, or related analytics role
Passed a minimum of four actuarial exams and currently on the exam track
4+ years working with large heterogeneous datasets (claims and non-claim)
Extensive Excel-based modelling experience
Experience with R, Python, SQL, SAS, and/or VBA for data extraction and analysis
