Senior P&C reserving role in Des Moines, Iowa, supporting quarterly loss and LAE reserve analyses across multiple lines of business. You’ll assess reserve adequacy and uncertainty, support financial reporting and regulatory work, and partner with Claims, Finance, and Underwriting. The role requires ACAS and 5-8 years of P&C reserving experience, with a $120,000-$180,000 base salary range.
Requirements
Must have
5 to 8 years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty insurance, with significant experience in reserving
ACAS designation
Strongly preferred
Strong understanding of loss reserving techniques, loss development analysis, reserve uncertainty, and actuarial modeling
Proficiency with modeling and data analysis tools
Experience supporting financial reporting, reserve reviews, audits, or regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-actuarial audiences
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, governance, and documentation standards
Nice to have
FCAS designation or active pursuit of FCAS
Experience with actuarial reserving software or programming tools
