Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing/underwriting partnership than a modelling-heavy IC role—the ad emphasizes business recommendations and stakeholder alignment.

Senior P&C actuarial role in New York supporting Professional Lines pricing and reserving. You’ll lead ratemaking analyses, evaluate new business and acquisitions, and advise Underwriting, Claims, and senior leaders on profitable growth. ACAS and 8-10 years of commercial-lines pricing experience are required; FCAS is preferred.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of actuarial experience with strong emphasis on Commercial Lines pricing
  • ACAS designation
  • US work authorization without sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree

Strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in Professional Lines products (E&O, D&O, EPLI)
  • Proven ability to lead and manage projects
  • Strong communication skills to influence and collaborate
  • Ability to clearly articulate and defend actuarial assumptions
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments
  • Ability to balance creativity with actuarial discipline

Nice to have

  • FCAS designation
  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, or related analytical field
