HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Actuary (FSA) role on the Enterprise Actuarial Life Projections team at Pacific Life. You'll lead economic value, economic capital, and cash flow testing projections for life insurance products, supporting the Corporate Appointed Actuary and Valuation Actuary. This on-site/hybrid role is based in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC, with relocation assistance available.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Lead economic value/economic capital and cash flow testing projections for life insurance products
  • Support Asset Adequacy Analysis, AG38 8C, RBC C3P1 and other regulatory projections
  • Oversee model input data management and economic scenarios
  • Develop and mentor junior actuarial professionals
  • Hybrid role – 4 days in office, 1 day remote; offices in Newport Beach, Omaha, or Charlotte

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Life insurance projection and valuation
  • Economic capital models
  • Cash flow testing and asset adequacy analysis

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • FSA with 6+ years actuarial experience, or ASA with additional years
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, finance, mathematics or related field
  • Solid experience with actuarial modeling software (MG-ALFA or Prophet a plus)
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience managing/coaching junior staff preferred
