JOB TITLE: Senior Actuary, LTC CFT Manager

JOB DUTIES: Lead preparation of cash flow testing, the Long-Term Care (LTC) components of the annual Actuarial Opinion Memorandum, and best estimate assumptions. Analyze margin impacts for LTC insurance/projections by running and maintaining asset and liability models in GGY AXIS and Excel for GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and STAT processes. Explore in-depth the factors that affect the reserves for the insurance policies. Facilitate in liability and asset model design changes to meet projection related requirements, including testing, validating, and documenting changes. Ensure outputs comply with Genworth model governance policies and procedures. Share the results of analyses with senior management, governance, auditors, reinsurers, finance team members and other interested parties to inform company decision-making. Lead the execution of model updates and ad-hoc analysis from valuation, experience and other interested parties. Supervise and mentor actuarial staff. Manage Quarterly and Annual Asset Modeling performed by team. Review annual LTC Cash Flow Testing modeling and documentation prepared by team, including Includes GLIC and GLICNY Result Summary Memo, Regulatory Asset Adequacy Issues Summary, and Actuarial Opinion Memorandum to be signed by appointed actuary. Ensure that all needed control documentation has been completed and reviewed for Governance, regulators and external auditors, including responsibility to respond to requests from regulators for annual reviews and triennial exams.

SALARY: $182,800 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon - Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, or as Associate Actuary, Actuarial Analyst, or related. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree and two (2) years of experience. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Using actuarial projection systems such as Moody's AXIS, MG Alfa, and POLYSYSTEMS, as well as performing actuarial modeling and analysis for liability projections; Working with Long Term Care products; Working with Microsoft Excel, including all aspects of building out reports, pivot tables and VBA programming; Working with external auditors; Providing liability projections for Loss Recognition Testing and Cash Flow Testing; Using SAS, Visual Basic and SQL to perform generate long term cash flow projections; and Programming experience in actuarial modeling software.
