Closer to a transformation build than a modelling-heavy IC role—the merger, integration, governance, and automation remit spans the model lifecycle.
Senior Life actuarial modeling role on Pacific Life’s Enterprise Modeling Team in Charlotte, NC. You’ll support Prophet valuation and production models through testing, governance, integration, defect resolution, and automation while partnering with actuarial, IT, valuation, pricing, and modeling teams. The hybrid schedule is four days on-site and one day remote.
Requirements
Must have
- Work on-site 4 days per week in Newport Beach, CA, Omaha, NE, or Charlotte, NC
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance, mathematics, or related field
- 6+ years of actuarial experience
- FSA designation
- 4+ years of model development experience in Prophet Professional and Prophet Enterprise
- Experience coding in Python, Visual Basic, and SQL
- Self-starter able to develop solutions by collaborating with multiple business partners
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage long-term projects
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Production and/or project management skills
- Process improvement and automation experience
- Cloud experience
