Closer to people leadership than a reserving-cycle specialist because formal staff management and HR accountability are central to the role.

Senior P&C commercial lines reserving manager role, remote across the US except Alaska and Hawaii. You’ll lead monthly booking and quarterly reserve reviews, communicate results to senior leaders, manage actuarial staff, and drive process improvements. The role requires ACAS, at least three years of reserving experience, and prior leadership experience.

Requirements

Must have

BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related field plus 6 years post-bachelor actuarial analysis experience, OR graduate degree plus 4 years experience
1+ years of leadership experience
3+ years of reserving experience
ACAS designation
Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US without visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Solid understanding of the market landscape
Strong decision-making, leadership and motivational skills
Ability to coach, mentor, evaluate and provide training and feedback to staff

Nice to have

3+ years of Commercial Lines Reserving experience
3+ years experience managing teams in a supervisory capacity
6+ years post-bachelor experience in Commercial Lines actuarial analysis (or grad degree plus 4+ years)
FCAS designation
Expert-level problem solving and critical thinking skills
Proven oral and written communication skills including formal presentations
Proven team leadership ability
