Pricing partner on live reinsurance deals
Closer to a live-deal pricing partner than a modelling-heavy IC because RFPs, business development, risk approvals, and presentations are central to the work.
Senior Life reinsurance structuring and pricing role in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a hybrid work pattern. You’ll model and price North American financial reinsurance transactions, assess accounting, regulatory and economic risks, support deal execution, and work with risk officers and business development. The role requires a qualified life actuary with at least five years of relevant experience.
Requirements
Must have
- Qualified life actuary (FSA, FIA or career ASA)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
Strongly preferred
- Proficient in building MS-Excel models
- Strong actuarial background in US life insurance/reinsurance transactions
- Bachelor's Degree
- Comfortable in a client-facing capacity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Works well in a cooperative team environment
- Individual contributor, completes tasks vs delegating
Nice to have
- Knowledge of USGAAP accounting standards and financial reporting
- Prior experience on financial solution transactions
- Actuarial modeling experience (i.e. AXIS)
