Closer to an underwriting partnership role than a modelling-heavy IC role because portfolio ownership and underwriter enablement sit alongside technical model work.

Senior P&C actuarial pricing role on AXA XL’s Americas Property team, focused on the Excess and Surplus Property portfolio. You’ll lead portfolio management, pricing model development, rating algorithm calibration, and underwriting support while guiding junior team members. The primary location is Exton, Pennsylvania, with openings for candidates in New York City, Boston, or Hartford.

Requirements

Must have

  • Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS)
  • Material experience in P&C actuarial pricing or reserving
  • Advanced Excel skills and significant experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the posting country
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field

Strongly preferred

  • Portfolio management and pricing metrics reporting experience
  • Training and guiding underwriters on pricing matters
  • Experience with pricing models, rating algorithms, and calibration
  • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

  • Coding proficiency in Python, R, or SQL
