Senior P&C pricing role (casualty focus) reporting to the VP, Actuarial. You will design and enhance pricing models, perform account- and portfolio-level analyses, partner with underwriting/finance/claims/reinsurance, and mentor junior analysts. Locations: La Jolla, CA; Edina, MN; or Remote (US).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Design and enhance actuarial pricing models and rating plans
- Perform account- and portfolio-level casualty pricing analyses
- Partner with Underwriting, Finance, Claims, and Reinsurance
- Mentor junior analysts and support the actuarial student program
- Locations: La Jolla, CA; Edina, MN; or Remote (US)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C pricing with casualty focus
- Account- and portfolio-level pricing analyses
- Working with rating plans and loss experience
- Partnering with Underwriting, Finance, Claims and Reinsurance
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5–8 years actuarial pricing experience
- Strong P&C pricing knowledge, initially focused on casualty
- Proficiency in SQL; Python, R, or VBA familiarity a plus
- Minimum of 5 actuarial exams passed
- Experience presenting analyses to cross-functional stakeholders
