Role type

Pricing partner to business development

Closer to a pricing and underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because opportunity assessments and contract decisions are tied to live business.

Senior Health actuarial underwriting role in Denver, supporting commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare business evaluation. You’ll assess new opportunities, refine pricing and operating models, evaluate contract terms, and present insights to internal and external stakeholders. The hybrid role requires 2+ years of experience and three completed actuarial exams.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related field
  • 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field
  • Minimum three completed actuarial exams
  • No work visa sponsorship available
  • Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs

Strongly preferred

  • Experience with CMS shared savings programs strongly preferred

Nice to have

  • Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in value-based care preferred
  • Experience in Commercial, Medicaid or Medicare analysis
  • Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL
