Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because engagement delivery and renewal advice are central to the position.

Senior Health actuarial consulting role in Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting employer health benefits strategies. You will lead client engagements involving financial projections, plan design, underwriting, benchmarking, and renewal negotiations while directing junior staff. The hybrid schedule requires at least three days per week in the office.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of actuarial field experience
  • Health and benefits consulting experience

Strongly preferred

  • Proven progress toward ASA designation
  • Client-facing experience
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Health benefits actuarial consulting experience
  • Strong programming skills in R and Python for data manipulation, modeling and automation
  • ASA credential
