Executive P&C risk role for Stonehaven Specialty Insurance Company, a US third-party hybrid fronting carrier. Based remotely in the United States, the Chief Risk Officer will lead enterprise risk, actuarial, reinsurance, counterparty credit, reserving, and ORSA activities, reporting to the President with direct Board access.
Requirements
Must have
- 15+ years in P&C actuarial, reinsurance, or enterprise risk, including senior leadership at a carrier, fronting carrier, or reinsurer
- ACAS designation
- Direct experience structuring and negotiating reinsurance treaties
- Demonstrated counterparty credit and collateral risk management
- Ownership of an ERM framework and ORSA with board-level risk reporting
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Nice to have
- FCAS, CPCU, CERA, or FRM designation
- Prior experience at a fronting, hybrid fronting, or program carrier
- Experience with captive, ILS, or other collateralized reinsurance capacity
- Experience working with rating agencies and regulators on capital and risk matters
