The Opportunity

This position involves end-to-end responsibility for capital management-related solutions in our target markets prevalent the US which includes the following responsibilities:
  • Identifying, originating, pricing and marketing structured prospective and retroactive reinsurance solutions.
  • Working closely with our clients to understand their needs and win buy-in for our solutions.
  • Assessing claims reserves and expected volatilities and support transactional due diligences.
  • Leading interdisciplinary deal teams and coordinate transactions with internal experts, clients, brokers and the wider stakeholder community.
  • Helping client managers as well as underwriters to develop specialized knowledge in alternative risk transfer solutions.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience preferred in the (re-)insurance sector with a demonstrated track record in executing structured reinsurance, retroactive reinsurance or insurance risk securitization transactions, or an equivalent background in enterprise risk management analytics, actuarial science, insurance corporate finance and financial modelling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business or related field and are ideally a credentialed actuary (ACAS and MAAA).
  • Ability to apply sound knowledge in structured reinsurance, or insurance risk securitization transactions, or in a related field.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements combined with a prolonged understanding of international accounting and solvency standards as well as capital rating models.
  • Prior experience actively managed client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Track record in leading project teams or would like to develop in that area.
  • Ability to take initiative and produce results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel - approximately 30% travel under, post-COVID19 conditions.
The salary range posted below applies to the Company's NYC location.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $188,000 - $276,200, plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in NYC. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range. We will consider a range of reinsurance and/or relevant insurance experience for this role and the offer will be commensurate with that.
