Role type

Client-facing reinsurance advisor

Closer to client-facing advisory than an underwriting partner role because the remit extends beyond transactions into broader client solutions and business development.

Executive-level P&C actuarial advisory role with Guy Carpenter’s GC Analytics team in Edina, Minnesota. You’ll advise brokers and clients on reinsurance pricing, valuation, capital modelling, and specialty risk solutions, while leading a modelling team and supporting business development. The role is hybrid, with three office days and two remote days each week.

Requirements

Must have

  • ACAS designation (minimum)
  • 7-10 years of industry experience

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Experience in pricing, valuation, and/or capital modeling
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Coding experience in Alteryx, R, Python, VBA, or SQL
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in interactive teams with brokers and clients
  • Ability to lead day-to-day project activities and make decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in reinsurance
  • Experience in Financial Lines such as E&O and D&O insurance
