Manager-level P&C role (Underwriting & Actuarial Lead) based in Reston, VA. You will combine underwriting leadership with actuarial pricing, reserving and IFRS 17 implementation for auto insurance products. Role owns pricing/reserve challenge, loss forecasting and presents results to senior finance and risk stakeholders.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead underwriting and actuarial activities for auto insurance products
- Own pricing and reserving analysis and IFRS 17 implementation
- Manage and mentor a team of underwriters and analysts
- Work hybrid from Reston, VA with flexible remote work as-needed
- Engage with CFO, VP Finance, CRO and external auditors on forecasts
DOMAIN EXPERTISE

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years insurance experience (minimum)
- At least 5 years working as an actuary and ACAS designation required
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline required
- Experience managing and mentoring underwriting/analyst teams
- Proficiency with data analysis tools, Excel and SQL/statistical packages
