Role Summary

HIGHLIGHTS

VP, Software Engineering (Data Domain) leading enterprise data strategy and delivery for actuarial data support and ceded reinsurance in a P&C insurance context. You will own data platforms (Snowflake, Azure), ETL/ELT frameworks, BI/reporting (Power BI, SSRS) and lead multiple onshore/offshore teams. Hybrid role based in Jersey City, NJ or Raleigh, NC.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead enterprise data domain including actuarial data support and ceded reinsurance
Own Snowflake Data Lake, Azure pipelines, ETL/ELT (IICS, dbt, Databricks, ADF)
Oversee Power BI, SSRS reporting and financial/statutory reporting delivery
Hybrid role — twice-a-week in Jersey City, NJ or Raleigh, NC
VP-level role with responsibility for multiple onshore/offshore teams and vendors

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Enterprise data platform leadership
Snowflake and Azure data lake experience
ETL/ELT frameworks (IICS, dbt, Databricks, StreamSets, ADF)
Power BI, SSRS, and reporting ecosystem experience
Regulatory compliance (SOX, SOC-2, NYDFS) experience

KEY REQUIREMENTS

15+ years of experience across data platforms, engineering, and BI
7+ years in leadership managing multi-disciplinary data teams
Bachelor's degree in CS, Information Systems, or related field required
Deep experience with Snowflake and Azure data platforms
Experience with SOX, SOC-2, and NYDFS compliance requirements
