Structured actuarial student programme

Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy IC role—the nine-week format and learning elements outweigh deep model ownership.

Summer actuarial internship in Atlanta supporting AIG’s commercial and personal P&C insurance operations. You’ll analyze data, apply actuarial techniques to pricing and reserving, support models and forecasts, and work with Finance, Claims, Operations, and Risk Management during a structured nine-week program.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree by June 2028
  • Available for full Summer Internship June 7 - August 6, 2027
  • Work in office at least 4 days per week

Strongly preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced and learn team-oriented environment

Nice to have

  • Preferred major: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Progress toward actuarial examinations preferred
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Exposure to Python R SQL or similar technologies as plus
  • Demonstrated interest in actuarial credentials progression
  • Outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement
  • Excelled in previous work experience prior experience is required
