Entry-level Life actuarial role in New York City within MetLife’s Actuarial Resources team. You’ll rotate about every two years through areas such as pricing, valuation, modeling, financial analysis, asset-liability management, and investments while pursuing the FSA. The hybrid role requires at least three days per week in the office.
Requirements
Must have
Perform calculations, data analysis, and risk evaluations that are actuarial in nature
Gather, organize, and analyze data; conduct research; and develop recommendations for stakeholders
Prepare for and pass actuarial exams administered by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and work towards becoming qualified as a Fellow of the SOA (FSA)
Balance work responsibilities with ongoing actuarial studies
Nice to have
Bachelor's degree or higher in actuarial science or a quantitative, technical, business, or similar field
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Demonstrated commitment to becoming an FSA (e.g., passed exams, actuarial work experience, relevant coursework)
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated with strong leadership and communication skills
