Life actuarial internship in MetLife’s Actuarial Resources team in St. Louis, Missouri. Over a structured 10-week program, you’ll gain exposure to pricing, product development, reserving, modeling, financial analysis, and investments while presenting work to actuarial leaders. The hybrid schedule requires at least three days per week in the office.
Requirements
Must have
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in office
Strongly preferred
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in actuarial science or a quantitative/technical/business field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Interest in learning programming languages, data analysis tools, or AI
Nice to have
- Currently enrolled in a master's degree program
- Successful completion of one or more SOA exams
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, SAS, VBA, or similar
- Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies
- Interest in pursuing an actuarial career
