Life actuarial internship in MetLife’s Actuarial Resources team in Wilmington, Delaware. Over a structured 10-week program, you’ll gain exposure to pricing, reserving, modeling, financial analysis, asset-liability management, and investments while presenting project work to actuarial leaders.
Requirements
Must have
Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
Hybrid role requiring minimum 3 days per week in office
Strongly preferred
Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in actuarial science or a quantitative, technical, business, or similar field
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, advanced formulas, data validation, lookup functions, and data analysis techniques
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Leadership experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation and initiative
Interest in learning and adapting programming languages, data analysis tools, and/or emerging technologies
Nice to have
Currently enrolled in a master's degree program (preferred)
Successful completion of one or more SOA exams (preferred)
Experience with Python, R, SQL, SAS, VBA or similar (preferred)
Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies (preferred)
Interest in pursuing an actuarial career (preferred)
