Life actuarial internship in MetLife’s Actuarial Resources team in Wilmington, Delaware. Over a structured 10-week program, you’ll gain exposure to pricing, reserving, modeling, financial analysis, asset-liability management, and investments while presenting project work to actuarial leaders.
Requirements
Must have
- Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
- Hybrid role requiring minimum 3 days per week in office
Strongly preferred
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in actuarial science or a quantitative, technical, business, or similar field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, advanced formulas, data validation, lookup functions, and data analysis techniques
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Leadership experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation and initiative
- Interest in learning and adapting programming languages, data analysis tools, and/or emerging technologies
Nice to have
- Currently enrolled in a master's degree program (preferred)
- Successful completion of one or more SOA exams (preferred)
- Experience with Python, R, SQL, SAS, VBA or similar (preferred)
- Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies (preferred)
- Interest in pursuing an actuarial career (preferred)
