P&C actuarial associate role in Verisk’s Excess and Surplus Lines unit, focused on E&S casualty pricing and product development. You’ll work with complex insurance data, build analytical solutions, and solve technical problems for clients. The role is hybrid in Jersey City, NJ, or remote within approved Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.
Requirements
Must have
4-6 years of actuarial experience with focus on E&S casualty pricing
Exam 5 passed
SQL proficiency
Data management skills or knowledge of insurance data management
Strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related majors
ACAS designation
Proficiency in SAS, R, Python, or Excel
Ability to work independently and drive projects end-to-end
Ability to work under uncertainty and ambiguity
Experience with complex and diverse datasets
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to explain actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders
Comfort working with multiple client teams and internal stakeholders
Nice to have
Familiarity with Snowflake and DBT
Experience with generative AI tools in production
