Senior P&C actuarial consultant role in Verisk’s Government Relations Department in Jersey City, New Jersey. You’ll support ISO underwriting and catastrophe products through regulatory filings, actuarial peer review, regulator engagement, and approval strategies. The role requires ACAS or FCAS and seeks at least seven years of insurance experience.
Requirements
Must have
- ACAS or FCAS designation
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related majors
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint required
Strongly preferred
- Minimum 7 years insurance experience
- Deep knowledge of regulatory issues, industry, market
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
- Broad familiarity with most ISO lines of business
- Familiarity with catastrophe and predictive analytics modeling
- Familiarity with filing process and regulatory concerns
- Basic understanding of programming preferred
