Role Summary

Role type

Valuation reporting-cycle leader

Closer to a reporting-cycle leadership role than capital and risk strategy—the recurring consolidated valuation cadence outweighs broader ERM work.

Director-level Life and Annuity actuarial role in New York, leading consolidated valuation reporting, asset adequacy testing, and regulatory oversight. You will translate US Statutory and GAAP valuation results for senior leaders, strengthen governance and controls, and coordinate cross-functional reporting and regulatory implementation.

Requirements

Must have

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
  • 7+ years' actuarial experience in valuation and reporting
  • 5+ years experience with valuation systems
  • 3+ years exposure to US Statutory and GAAP regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or closely related field

Strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of actuarial experience (ideal)
  • Expert knowledge of US Statutory and GAAP reporting, including PBR and LDTI
  • Experience leading complex valuation and reporting processes
  • Deep knowledge of life insurance and annuity products and valuation
  • Experience with asset adequacy testing, cash flow testing, or actuarial projections
  • Experience with data lake environments and reporting tools
  • Strong modeling, technical, analytical, and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and drive continuous improvement
