Closer to a pricing-underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because the work is tied to live transactions, proposals and intermediary relationships.

Senior Retirement actuary role in Boston focused on pricing and underwriting US Pension Risk Transfer and UK longevity reinsurance transactions. You’ll modify pricing models, analyze risks, support proposals and contract reviews, and work with intermediaries and internal business partners. ASA is required; FSA and relevant pension or longevity experience are preferred.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related discipline
5+ years of experience in actuarial, quantitative, or financial analysis role including pricing, valuation, modeling, or risk analysis
ASA Designation

Nice to have

FSA Designation
Knowledge of pension/retirement, pension risk transfer, or longevity reinsurance
Ability to manage and deliver on multiple concurrent deliverables
Disciplined approach to strategic initiatives and projects
Ability to analyze complex information and communicate to non-technical audiences
Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity; able to explore multiple solutions
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced business degree and/or professional qualifications
