Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role because the 12-week placement combines guided exposure across actuarial work with development.

P&C actuarial internship on the Commercial Auto Actuarial team in Long Beach, New York. During a 12-week summer program, you’ll support pricing analyses, portfolio reviews, reserve monitoring, data validation, and reporting while collaborating with underwriting and finance.

Requirements

Must have

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in math, data science, statistics, or actuarial science
  • Progress on actuarial exams – preferably 2 exams minimum
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Strongly preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends
  • Intermediate or better Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
