P&C actuarial pricing internship in Chicago, supporting multiple lines of business. Over a 12-week summer program, you will help with new program pricing, premium and loss ratio projections, monthly reports, rate filings, and rating tools. The role is onsite and suited to a student pursuing a relevant bachelor's or master's degree who is studying for CAS exams.

Requirements

Must have

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • Demonstrate sufficient progress in understanding and applying basic actuarial principles
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)

Strongly preferred

  • Studying for CAS preliminary exams
  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Basic Excel experience
  • Interest in the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of the actuarial exam process
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply technical concepts
  • Ownership of tasks
  • Works within deadlines with guidance; manages time and priorities with guidance
