Twelve-week Health actuarial internship beginning May/June 2027, based in Medford, Oregon, with hybrid options across several Northwest offices. You’ll support the Actuarial Division with technical, analytical, and data-related work while pursuing an actuarial exam. The internship pays $28 per hour and requires current enrollment through spring 2027.

Requirements

Must have

Working towards a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or similar major
Minimum 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA
Reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah for the internship
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program through spring 2027
Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Making progress towards passing at least one actuarial exam
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient in spreadsheets, statistical analysis, database creation and management
Experience working with large datasets
Interest in working at Cambia full-time after graduation

Nice to have

Experience with generative AI tools in area of expertise
