Senior Life specialist inside an insurer
Closer to a carrier specialist than a pricing-underwriting partner because the remit spans product governance, in-force management, filings, and enterprise work rather than live deal support.
Director-level Life actuarial leadership role in Montgomery, Ohio, covering life pricing, product development, and in-force management. You will lead modelling, experience studies, filings, product strategy, capital and profitability analysis, while managing a small team and presenting recommendations to management and the board. Flexible remote, hybrid, and onsite options are available across the U.S.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- At least 10 years of actuarial experience in the life insurance industry
- Significant experience in product pricing, product management, or related actuarial functions
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
- Advanced knowledge of IUL, UL, BOLI, Term Life, and Whole Life products
- Strong actuarial modeling and analytical skills
- Experience supporting state and Compact product filings
- Strong understanding of illustration regulations, AG 49A, and Internal Revenue Code Sections 7702 and 7702A
- Comprehensive understanding of life insurance product development and implementation
- Strong project management, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex analyses into practical recommendations and influence stakeholders

- MG-ALFA and/or Integrate experience preferred
