Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because the work supports live audit engagements and issue resolution with client personnel.

Life actuarial audit-assist Associate role in KPMG’s Audit & Assurance Practice in New York. You’ll support audits of insurers and reinsurers, analyzing reserves, policyholder liabilities, financial reporting, capital, and assumptions across Life, Annuity, and Long-Duration Health products. The work includes maintaining actuarial models and collaborating with audit teams and client personnel.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum one year of recent actuarial experience in insurance, reinsurance, consulting, auditing, financial reporting, valuation, or modeling
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future

Strongly preferred

  • Progress toward Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
  • Working knowledge of Life, Annuity, and Long-Duration Health products
  • Exposure to U.S. GAAP, Statutory Accounting, and IFRS
  • Experience with actuarial valuation, financial reporting, analytics, or modeling platforms
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
