Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a modelling-heavy IC because large-account recommendations and underwriting collaboration sit alongside model development.

Manager-level P&C pricing role in Chicago, focused on commercial auto and general liability. You will build sophisticated GLM models, support portfolio and large-account pricing, advise senior leadership, and manage a small actuarial team in an office-based setting.

Requirements

Must have

  • ACAS designation (minimum)
  • At least 7 years actuarial experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the US (E-Verify verification)

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field
  • 10+ years actuarial experience (strongly preferred)
  • Extensive experience with auto and general liability lines
  • Significant large account / loss-rated pricing experience
  • Experience managing and developing small teams (1-3 reports)
  • Experience with GLM pricing models
  • Strong R and SQL programming skills
  • Excellent communication skills for non-technical audiences
