Closer to a consulting client-facing role than a modelling-heavy individual contributor position because engagement ownership, recommendations, and client contact are central.

Manager-level Health actuarial consulting role in Phoenix, Arizona, focused on Medicaid for state agencies and related government healthcare clients. You will lead client engagements, financial evaluations, plan design, pricing analyses, reports, and junior staff review while supporting business development. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years health actuarial experience
  • 3+ years Medicaid leadership actuarial experience
  • Actuarial credentials (ASA, FSA, or MAAA)
  • Ability to handle client and project management in a demanding work environment with tight deadlines

Nice to have

  • Medicaid actuarial experience spanning multiple states, programs, health insurers, or Federal agencies
  • Actuarial consulting experience
  • Experience leading large teams and/or large, complex projects
  • Experience related to health plan analysis or capitated rate development
