Entry-level Life actuarial role in Columbus, Georgia, supporting product development, data analysis, modelling, and business reporting. The role is designed for candidates with one SOA exam and up to one year of experience who are pursuing the ASA designation. It is hybrid, with at least 60% of the work week in the Columbus office.

Requirements

Must have

  • Bachelor's Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
  • Completion of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
  • Commitment to completing exams leading to ASA designation
  • Currently a candidate in or qualified to become a candidate in the Aflac Actuarial Development Program
  • 0 to 1 year of professional job-related work experience

Strongly preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
  • Basic actuarial competencies such as data analysis, model development, and assumption setting
  • Basic project management skills
  • Basic business knowledge and acumen about Aflac's products and functions
