Role type

Modelling-heavy actuarial individual contributor

Closer to a modelling-heavy IC role than a reserving cycle role because assumption recommendations and analytical judgment matter more than recurring valuation close work.

Senior Life actuarial role focused on experience studies and assumption setting, available fully remote across the lower 48 or from Columbus, Ohio. You’ll own assumption work from data through recommendation, build and improve models and data processes, and influence pricing, product, risk, and business decisions.

Requirements

Must have

  • FSA credential

Strongly preferred

  • 7+ years of actuarial experience
  • Experience with actuarial analysis, statistical methods, data interpretation, modeling, and assumption development
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, VBA, Access, Tableau, Power BI
  • Bachelors degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or similar field

Nice to have

  • Life insurance experience is valuable but not required
  • Experience with universal life, secondary guarantees, or related life products
