Role type

Life valuation and reporting cycle

Closer to a recurring valuation-cycle role than a pure modeling position, because monthly and quarterly deliverables anchor the work despite broader analytical projects.

Senior Life actuarial valuation role, fully remote across the lower 48 U.S. states, with Nationwide’s Life Insurance Valuation team. You’ll support monthly and quarterly reserves, LDTI and PBR analysis, statutory/GAAP reporting, actuarial modeling, and process improvements while partnering with Tax, Controllership, Pricing, auditors, and regulators.

Requirements

Must have

  • ASA required; actively enrolled in Actuarial Development Program; working towards FSA or recently attained FSA

Strongly preferred

  • 4-7 years of actuarial experience
  • Knowledge of life insurance valuation principles
  • Proficiency with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or similar

Nice to have

  • Experience with life insurance products and Statutory or GAAP valuation
  • Exposure to actuarial modeling software (AXIS, ALFA, PolySystems)
  • Programming experience in Python or VB.NET
