Closer to a pricing and underwriting partnership role than a modelling-heavy IC role because live business decisions and stakeholder alignment are central.
Senior P&C actuarial role in Professional Liability in Richmond, Virginia. You’ll lead Commercial Professional Lines pricing and reserving analyses, evaluate new business and acquisitions, and advise underwriting and senior leaders on profitable growth.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree required
- ACAS designation required
- Minimum 8-10 years of actuarial experience
- Commercial Lines pricing experience required
- US work authorization without sponsorship
- Deep expertise in ratemaking and reserving
- Strong working knowledge of data analytics
Strongly preferred
- 5+ years experience in Professional Lines products (E&O, D&O, EPLI)
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to clearly articulate and defend actuarial assumptions
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to balance creativity with sound actuarial discipline
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or related analytical field preferred
- FCAS designation preferred
