Closer to a live-business pricing partner than a reserving/reporting-cycle role because new opportunities, market dynamics, and underwriting alignment drive the stakeholder context.
Senior P&C actuarial role in New York supporting Commercial Professional Liability pricing and reserving. You’ll lead rate indications, pricing tools, portfolio analysis, new-business evaluations, and acquisition due diligence while partnering with Underwriting, Claims, and senior leaders. ACAS and 8–10 years of experience are required; FCAS is preferred.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree
- ACAS designation
- 8-10 years of actuarial experience
- Strong emphasis on Commercial Lines pricing
- 5+ years experience in Professional Lines products (E&O, D&O, EPLI)
- US work authorization without sponsorship
Strongly preferred
- Degree in mathematics, statistics, or related analytical field
- FCAS designation
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence Underwriting partners
- Ability to articulate and defend actuarial assumptions and methodologies
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience in cross-functional environments and driving alignment
- Ability to balance creativity with actuarial discipline
