Role Value Proposition
Responsible for USGAAP reporting and analysis in the Malaysia Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Japan/Korea. Collaborates with the LBU on related business concerns and also drives continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for USGAAP actuarial financial reporting (e.g. DAC, VOBA) for assigned LBU and feed journal entry support information to Controllers group
- Interfaces with LBU to understand requirements and leads the delivery of high quality solutions
- Collaborates with peers to fully understand the needs and issues related to assigned LBU
- Assist LBU to address questions from auditors and regional office
- Execute and improve existing controls on the reporting process
- Assists team lead to plan, organize, coordinate the tasks assigned
- Identifies potential process enhancement opportunity and execute the necessary changes
- Identifies and discuss with manager on potential individual development opportunities
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
- Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science and 2 year working experience
- Good progress in SOA Actuarial Examination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to analyze, interpret and address customer needs
- Experience on actuarial and coding software such as Python, Prophet or Axis is useful
