Role Value Proposition

Support the preparation of Value of New Business (VNB) or USGAAP reporting for the assigned local business unit: Japan, Korea, and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with VNB production and analysis as well as documentation
• Support USGAAP actuarial financial reporting and feed journal entry information to Controllers group as well as documentation
• Ensure data accuracy, meeting controls, and timely delivery
• Identify possible enhancements and implement relevant improvement to current work processes
• Perform ad hoc requests

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

• Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science 
• High execution on delivering outputs within deadlines and investigating root-cause analysis in outputs and background data
• General learnings skills, flexible adaptation to variable circumstance, positive attitude to learn new knowledge and work ethic are required
• Proficient verbal and written English skills and careful communicational attitude
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VBA), Word, Access and PowerPoint, Exposure to Actuarial modelling software preferred

Qualification Required:

• Good academic results with good progress in actuarial papers preferred
